# What is APE score?

The APE score is an award that recognizes every address for hard work over the past year.

We analyzed the transaction records of all addresses on the Ethereum chain over the past year. Scored according to the [rules](/ape-score-2021/rules.md) and analyzed which creature in Minecraft your on-chain behavior is most like.
