Metacraft demo introduction
{% endembed %}

Metacraft is a Metaverse protocol based on Minecraft.

We make Minecraft connected to the blockchain, making it a truly decentralized metaverse by developing asset protocols.

Eventually extend the protocol into a general metaverse protocol.

The protocol has the following features and more:

* enable the tokenization and exchange of Minecraft’s in-game assets
* bring Minecraft community together to build a multi-worlds game
* build a gaming metaverse where both skilled players and game creators can earn deserved values
* give general on-chain digital assets a virtual space to be alive
* most importantly, cultivate a DAO-based community to govern this Minecraft metaverse.

With Metacraft, we want to free the creativity of the Minecraft community and introduce them to the wonder of the crypto world. Also in return, let crypto assets find their value in the virtual world.

# Problems

## What are the problems we want to solve?

We want to eliminate two issues:

1. Inequalities in the Minecraft community
2. Inadequate value proposition of crypto assets

### Minecraft community has massive creativity but...

The relationship between player and game creator ought to be simple: Players enjoy the game and the game creators get paid.

However, this is usually not the case. There's always gonna be a centralized intermediary platform shows up in between.

Platforms provide services to players and game creators in return make a profit from it. This works at the beginning of the web2 era but with more value being tied up with these platforms, they start to abuse this relationship and get greedy with the profit that they can squeeze out of the players and game creators. In the end, people who spent effort on game playing and creating are getting underpaid and gradually lose their interests. Communities die and platforms move on to their next target.

In the case of the Minecraft community, numerous community members have contributed so many plugins, mods and custom features. The gaming experience of Minecraft has been leveled up so much all thanks to these developers. However, they end up do not get rewarded and right now the Minecraft community is dying.

We, crypto folks, see this as a sin of the web2 schema but thankfully blockchain tech has offered us a solution.

### Crypto assets are wonderful inventions except...

Crypto assets offer better liquidity and true ownership.

However, not being recognized by most authorities and political parties gives it less space to survive.

Most of the fungible tokens are seeking their value through community consensus or platform governance but do not have application scenarios to be consumed.

As for non-fungible tokens, aesthetic and social identity functions are the current major value supports.

These are reasonable directions for the crypto market to grow but they are too narrow to unleash the full power of blockchain technology.

With this context, Metaverse has become a trending topic in the crypto space. Many believes that there will be a multi-worlds enabled virtual space that will give all crypto assets a comfy habitat. We also have the shared vision and even further, we want to make it happen.

# Why Minecraft?

## Why Minecraft?

Minecraft is an open-world sandbox game. Learn more about [Minecraft on Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minecraft).

It's the best choice because

* Minecraft is [THE best-selling video game in the world](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games).
* Minecraft has a big and powerful community with players, developers, and game hosts. (See reference links)
* We all love Minecraft

### EULA Compliance

Even though Metacraft is a community-driven project and any value exchanges in the Metacraft metaverse will not be profited by the Metacraft team, we are aware that building plugins to extend a game whose IP is owned by others may violate any legal terms, or at least, disrespect to the original author.

For this purpose, after consulting with legal experts, we have carefully adjusted our tech stack to meet with the latest [Minecraft's EULA](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/terms/nintendo-switch). See the diagram below for a simple illustration of our software stack.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0aab3ef0747c80cef6779a66501987ff922b7f6f%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Players will still need to buy an official game license from Minecraft's current operator Microsoft to log in to the game.

We will publish an official legal opinion document to discuss the EULA Compliance in detail, once we have funds to hire a lawyer.

# Metacraft Protocol

# Introduction

Metacraft protocol aims to solve 4 problems that a player may find when playing in a metaverse game: Universal Identity, Assets Portability, Assets Exchange, and Cross-Worlds Interoperability.

Here are we give a quick introduction to how do we solve these issues.

# Universal Identity

Having a universal identity means that the player can use the same identity when playing in different Minecraft worlds. This is a basic requirement for a multi-worlds game and a metaverse.

Metacraft protocol uses the web3 identifier, i.e. wallet address, as the player's sole identity handle across different worlds in the Metacraft metaverse. (Players will still need to log in the game with their purchased Minecraft account to enforce EULA compliance)

This ensures identity compatibility with all the other crypto products so that crypto-assets can be imported into the gaming world in a seamless way.

To make this integration to the original Minecraft authentication system, Metacraft will provide user-end plugins along with a custom authentication server.

[<br>](https://metacraft.cc/docs/MetaCraft%20Platform/introduction)

# Assets Portability

Assets portability enables players to transfer their on-chain assets into Minecraft worlds; and also the other way around. This incurs two problems: how to tokenize in-game assets and how to import on-chain 3rd party assets into Minecraft worlds.

### Tokenize In-Game Assets[#](https://metacraft.cc/docs/MetaCraft%20Platform/assets-portability#tokenize-in-game-assets) <a href="#tokenize-in-game-assets" id="tokenize-in-game-assets"></a>

In-game elements that could be tokenized includes but are not limited to

* Skins
* Items
* Lands
* Constructions
* Player EXP

Metacraft protocol will provide a toolchain that helps players to tokenize these in-game elements. The generated tokens will be compatible with ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155 protocol so that all assets based on this standard can live in the game.

Tokenized assets can be traded in on-chain marketplaces. Although this may not make sense for all types of assets (low-value assets do not worth trading), the free market itself will adjust the liquidity for all assets and eventually grow a high-efficient economic system.

This toolchain will be built in the form of Minecraft mods and plugins with easy-to-use API and proper documentation.

### Compatibility with 3rd Party Assets[#](https://metacraft.cc/docs/MetaCraft%20Platform/assets-portability#compatibility-with-3rd-party-assets) <a href="#compatibility-with-3rd-party-assets" id="compatibility-with-3rd-party-assets"></a>

Giving the existing on-chain assets, especially NFT assets, a scenario to make them alive in the virtual world is one of the main initiatives of this project.

For this purpose, the Metacraft protocol will provide an NFT converter that can extend popular NFTs and make them available as in-game assets. For example

* Cryptopunks and other profile photo based NFTs can be converted into the player's skin
* Loot NFT can be converted into the player's dressable items

# In-Game Assets Exchange

Once assets portability is realized, all in-game assets are free to be exchanged within other exchange venues out there, such as Uniswap or Opensea.

To level up the game experience, Metacraft protocol will also enable in-game assets exchanges. This allows game creators to build their customized exchange interface in their own Minecraft world, and the players won't need any blockchain knowledge to trade their assets.

This in-game exchange will be provided to the game creators in the form of plugins and APIs. Two different exchange styles will be enabled to handle the exchange between different assets

* an AMM style exchange so that players won't need to find a counterparty to exchange their assets; this can be used to exchange in-game items
* an Opensea style exchange which will support the exchange of ERC721 based assets such as skins and lands

# Cross-World Interoperability

With universal identity and assets portability, game creators can already provide channels for players to move their assets between gaming worlds and the crypto world.

But is it possible for a player to bring his/her kick-ass sword from one Minecraft world to another and maintain the same level of ass-kicking?

This is the exact type of problems we aim to solve with cross-world interoperability.

Metacraft protocol will provide a Multi-Worlds protocol which is used to describe how two different Minecraft worlds can be interoperable with each other.

In practice, Multi-Worlds Protocol is a permission system that each Minecraft world creator defines for their own world.

Multi-Worlds Protocol will provide a series of permission parameters for world owners to adjust. To give a few examples:

* World A can choose to accept the player’s EXP gained in world B
* World A can choose to not accept a specific item player gained in world B
* World A can enable the player to migrate their items from world B to world A (burned in world B and mint in world A)
* World A can choose to accept the player's token gained in world B with a conversion ratio fetched from an external oracle

To make the cross-world experience more interesting and accessible to the player, instead of letting players quit the game and login to another server, we will build an in-game portal that players can jump into to go to another Minecraft world directly.

# "Profit" Model

Another thing worth mentioning is that a fee will be charged from the users for their usage of Metacraft protocol.

> Please note that this is not the profits a game owner/creator earns from its players. Gaming world creators can freely define the economic parameters of their game (e.g. payment tokens and fee mechanism) and in return shall take the responsibility for not harming the gaming experiences

"Profits" would be coming from the following usage of the Metacraft protocol:

* Tokenize in-game assets
* Import 3rd party assets
* In-game assets exchange

The above only shows options of mechanism Metacraft may choose for "profiting". The final mechanism is yet to be determined but no matter what it will be in the first place, community governance can change it later or adjust its parameters.

All proceeds will be fully transferred into the Metacraft community treasure, which will be managed by the Metacraft community through a proper decentralized governance system.\
Treasure funds will be managed by Metacraft community and will only be used for the benefit of the Metacraft community. This is why we put a quote symbol on "profit".

# Metacraft Shares($MCS)

{% hint style="warning" %}
Metacraft has not issued any tokens for the time being, please do not trust the token address of any unofficial channel.

We will issue tokens at a more opportune time, but not now.
{% endhint %}

# Governance Token

{% hint style="warning" %}
Metacraft has not issued any tokens for the time being, please do not trust the token address of any unofficial channel.

We will issue tokens at a more opportune time, but not now.
{% endhint %}

Metacraft Community will (eventually) be a DAO.

Decentralized Autonomous Organization, aka DAO, is widely recognized as the alternative to the centralized protocol in the web3 era. In a DAO-based community, rules and decisions are no longer made by a central authority but proposed from the bottom-up and confirmed with community discussion and voting.

This is the exact form that we want the Metacraft community to be.

We envision Metacraft to become a community-driven protocol that can provide similar service to Minecraft players and game creators just like the centralized protocol does now.

Resources and "profits" generated from the usage of the Metacraft protocol should be collected by the community as a whole and should be returned back to the community to facilitate its growth.

To realize such a community, we will build a state-of-the-art decentralized Metacraft governance system, in which, $MCS will be the governance token that empowers the Metacraft community to grow and makes its members become the owner of it.

# $MCS Distribution

{% hint style="warning" %}
Metacraft has not issued any tokens for the time being, please do not trust the token address of any unofficial channel.

We will issue tokens at a more opportune time, but not now.
{% endhint %}

By the end of the day, MCS should be distributed to the users of the Metacraft protocol, especially those who made contributions to the construction of the Metacraft protocol and community.

Based on this principle, we have made the following arrangement to the $MCS token distribution:

* There is a total supply amount of 1 billion $MCS tokens
* Metacraft team reserves 20% of all $MCS tokens for covering the cost of developing the Metacraft protocol and building the Metacraft community
* The rest 60% of $MCS tokens are allocated to a smart-contract based community treasure, which will be distributed to the community members who make contributions to the Metacraft ecosystem

Here we wanna give a brief introduction to how these two parts of tokens will be distributed.

### Metacraft Team Reserves

This part of the tokens is for the Metacraft team to cover the development cost.

No more than 20% of all tokens will be used for fundraising from investors who recognize the value of Metacraft in the early days.

The remaining 20% tokens will be allocated to the Metacraft protocol developers to compensate for their work.

Regardless of how tokens in this part will be used, they will be locked in the beginning and vested linearly on a quarterly basis over a period of 2 years.

### Community Treasure

The community treasure will eventually be managed by the Metacraft community, with an $ MCS-based decentralized governance system.

In addition to $MCS, tokens "profited" from the usage of the Metacraft protocol will be stored in the treasure as well.

The function of the treasure funds may include but is not limited to:

* support game creators, plugin and mods developers
* incentivize game players
* cover the cost of operations that grows the ecosystem, such as marketing activities

Prior to the launch of the community governance system, the Metacraft team will take the lead to manage the funds in treasure, all operations of treasure tokens will be based on the principle below:

* All operations of treasure tokens will be published and open to the community
* The returns of all types of treasure token sales will be deposited back into the treasure

# Mainland World

# Game Design

Metacraft team will build the first Metacraft-based Minecraft world, named Mainland World.

The original Minecraft has already provided multiple levels of gaming experiences, including social, farm\&mine, build, and battle.

With Mainland World, we want to provide a more delicately designed gaming system that guides players to find their own virtual life track based on their personality.

With this principle in mind, in the Mainland World, we will extend the original Minecraft game with two features: Character Enchant and Alliance.

### Character Enchant[#](https://metacraft.cc/docs/Mainlan%20World/mainland-world#character-enchant) <a href="#character-enchant" id="character-enchant"></a>

Character Enchant system is what makes each player unique in the game.

Different players may have different passions in this world. Some may enjoy being a farmer who raises animals and grows crops, while some may prefer to be a warrior that conquers on the battlefield.

Character Enchant system enhances the player's property with regard to the life track the player choose. This way, players will have "professions" that make them good at gaining a certain type of resources or items. Players with different professions can trade their resources with each other to get what they need.

### Alliance[#](https://metacraft.cc/docs/Mainlan%20World/mainland-world#alliance) <a href="#alliance" id="alliance"></a>

Having the Alliance system is the key to guide players to socialize with each other.

Players that share similar interests can gather together as a recognized alliance. Under the collective sense of honor, players' stickness to the game can be improved and each player can get a better sense of accomplishment.

With the Alliance system, the setup of an alliance will be along with a cost, where players will need to work together towards a shared goal for building and growing their alliance.

# Economic System

Play-to-Earn is a new concept that is trending in the crypto space. Although it is attempting, many have argued that Paly-to-Earn model has sustainable issues.

We would like to take a different approach: instead of asking game creators to incentive players with tokens; they should focus on building a fun game and a proper economic design that can nudge players to trade with each other.

In the case of Mainland World, players will also be able to earn real-world values through skilled playing, whereas these values won't be provided by the game owner but generated from the assets exchange between players.

All in-game elements in the Mainland World are owned by the players. This includes skins, lands, items, constructions, even the Exp.

Players are free to trade these elements as assets in the in-game exchange. Instead of playing alone, players who trade with each other will have a better experience when playing towards their goals. We can even foresee in-game professions to be derived from such a mechanism.

For example, a player can be a professional constructor who builds fancy houses and make money out of it. How cool is that!

# Other Worlds

The role of Mainland World in the Metacraft universe is mainly an example to all game creators. With the support of Metacraft and creativity, anyone can build other types of Minecraft worlds. Game creators can freely define the game rules in their world, as well as its economic system. Here are a few ideas for reference:

* One Piece World - in this world, there is a golden chest with 1 million USD in it; the first player who finds it will get it; players and alliances in this world will be charged with a fee; the fee will be deposited into the chest smart contract to further accumulate the final reward
* PUBG World - this world has the similar game rule as the well-known PUBG game; players and alliances from the Mainland World can jump into this world to have an exciting battle contests
* Art World - This is a blank world for players to build art pieces and construct architectures, which can be tokenized as assets for sale

# FAQ

## What is Metacraft?

Metacraft is a Metaverse protocol based on Minecraft. We make Minecraft connected to the blockchain, making it a truly decentralized metaverse by developing asset protocols. Eventually extend the protocol into a general metaverse protocol.

## Why use Metacraft?

* NFTs come alive. All NFTs will have specific uses in the world, like paintings, tickets, skins, buildings, etc.
* Creativity to earn. No learning required, build buildings and circuit structures just like in reality.
* Truly decentralized protocol. From web3 identities to asset protocols are designed to be as open as possible.
* All are equal. You don't need to buy any NFT or Token to travel the world.

## How does it work?

* We hope build full stack of metaverse protocols from the bottom up.
* To achieve the vision, it will be executed in two milestones.
* The first stage is to build a Mainland world, which is the first implementation of the Metacraft protocol. And gradually open the asset protocol.
* The second stage is to open source all SDKs, developers can create parallel worlds without permission, and players can travel freely.

## Why hasn't Metacraft issue Land yet?

We don't think there's a better #Metaverse game than #Minecraft, the granddaddy of open worlds. But conceptual fit doesn't equal vision, and there's a long way to go to make MC a true metaverse.

It's very easy to issue land, and it can be done in about a day with plugins, which is why many projects are selling land to achieve P2E. But this is meaningless, the world is still centralized, the blockchain has even become a cheap recharge tool for GameFi.

Some metaverse projects use land as a kind of entry ticket to the parallel world, trying to rely on the co-branding effect to make it a scarce resource, which is indeed a great attempt. However, the binding force of the protocol itself is limited (the fork threshold is comparable to ERC20), and it takes a long time to achieve brand consensus.

What we're going to do is deeply customize the MC, the land is part of the world. It's just one part of the metaverse assets, along with skins, buildings, and NFT items. This will be a full set of protocols based on MC for the metaverse. Therefore, we need to implement it step by step according to the roadmap. It is not the right time to issue land at this stage.

## Inventory

* From the start of the game, you can see nine special inventory slots, called your "hotbar", but you also have more slots which are normally hidden.
* As you pick up items, the first few appear in your hotbar slots, but once those are full, they go into the 27 slots of your main inventory.
* At any given time, one of your hotbar slots is "selected", and the item in that slot is considered to be "in hand". You can click left or right to interact with what is in your hand (usually the left button tends to destroy, and the right button tends to interact)
* You can press keys 1 through 9 (or use a mouse-wheel if you have one) to choose which hotbar slot is active, thus you can quickly switch among up to 9 handy tools or other items.
* To get at the rest of your slots (and the beginnings of crafting), press E to open your personal inventory.

Looking to the right, you can see an image of your inventory screen.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a7d184c2aa970817873496486de7415e63ee1438%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

* Area 1 is four slots for any armor you are wearing -- these can each contain only an appropriate armor piece, for helmet, chest, legs, or feet.
* Area 2 is a little image of your character, showing their current appearance.
* Area 3 is your "offhand slot". In general, you can "use" any item in your offhand, as long as neither the item in your main hand nor the block you are looking at has a "use" feature.
* Area 4 is a 2×2 arrangement of squares. This is your inventory crafting grid. Here you can take some of the items you've collected and turn them into new items.
* Area 5 is the Recipe Book icon, which provides assistance with remembering and using crafting recipes (see its page for full details).
* Area 6 is your main inventory. You can drag items around from these slots to your hotbar and back.
* Area 7 is still your hotbar

## Crafting

The synthesis grid in the inventory can only be used for the most basic synthesis

If you want to craft more items, you need a "workbench"

How to make a "workbench"?

1. Find any tree and destroy it with your bare hands or with a tool to get a "log".
2. Take a single log of wood and put it in the crafting grid. The output slot then shows a stack of four matching wooden planks, which you can then take.
3. The output slot then shows a crafting table, which you should take
4. Put on your hotbar, and place down in the world to begin more advanced crafting.
5. Having placed the table, you can right-click on it to open a UI similar to your inventory, but with a 3×3 crafting grid. This lets you do many more recipes.

Here is a list of how the most common and important tools are synthesized:

|   Name  |                                                                                           Synthetic Recipe                                                                                           | Explanation                                                                                                                                                     | Material                                 |

## Food and Hunger

The 💗 icon on the left is your health. The right 🍗 is your satiety

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-327b534eefb42afbda6e6d1f5d7cacfb112422d3%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

* When hunger is at 18(less than 9🍗),your health regenerates. If it falls to 6🍗(less than 3🍗), you lose the ability to sprint. If the hunger bar is at zero(0🍗), your health depletes.
* The primary drain on hunger is from healing damage, and for quite some time, eating is your only way to heal damage! Fighting, sprinting, and jumping are also energy-intensive.

# Travel Guide

### Metacraft 2.0 Travel Guide

Dear adventurers, the world of Metacraft is very large, and it takes a lot of coins to teleport, so learning how to travel efficiently and safely is very important for your adventure.&#x20;

This guide has everything you need to know about travel, so let's go when you're ready!

## :map:Map

Access the map by pressing **M** (default key).&#x20;

You'll see icons representing dungeons, towns, caves and other points of interest along with brown lines denoting roads.&#x20;

The difficulty level of a dungeon is represented by the number of dots that appear above the icon.&#x20;

You can press the middle mouse button to mark on the map.

There is also a minimap seen in regular play at the top right corner. Your marker will also be shown on the minimap.

<figure><img src="https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2FSXz3eVeLkSxJmOl2TwQ6%2F7db62a983a8b0939584a8867b2d94a1.png?alt=media&amp;token=b443b359-3272-4537-b0ae-7f7889326e46" alt=""><figcaption><p>World Map</p></figcaption></figure>

## :camping:Campfire

Campfires are interspersed across the world, marked by tall pillars of smoke. Approaching a campfire will show the message ‘Waypoint Saved’.&#x20;

When you die, you will respawn at the last campfire that saved your waypoint. Your waypoint persists through logins, so you can start each session approximately where you left off!

Sitting near a campfire with the **E** key will heal you over time.&#x20;

If you ever need respite from your travels, campfires are what you should look for!

<figure><img src="https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2FzH9VhxoAVZSJhqKMoBiJ%2Fc248714fc690c2fb211ca3e083e4364.png?alt=media&amp;token=9c428cf0-f300-4686-a490-729184771591" alt=""><figcaption><p>Campfire</p></figcaption></figure>

## :man\_swimming:Climbing and Swimming

In general combat there is two skills that improve your swimming and climbing ability. Another way to climb mountain easily is to use a cloth armor (energy) and spamming the hammer leap.

## :airplane\_small:Gliding

Getting a hang on gliders may cost you a few broken bones, but once you get a feel for it you may find yourself looking for any excuse to explore a high place.

Pressing the **Ctrl** key will equip the glider. You can run around with it equipped.

You're going to need a steep slope or a cliff with enough vertical margin that you have time to redirect your fall into a glide.

<figure><img src="https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2FKRBwwS9nZXTgfIXpNmOd%2F6b2e62ff9a751032a079d425d399b6a.png?alt=media&amp;token=c550ccb5-925c-4f7f-9049-6a499b9d49f6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Gliding</p></figcaption></figure>

## :horse\_racing:Taming

In the course of playing the game, you'll be able to craft Collars, which let you tame creatures.

The current maximum number of creatures you can have tamed at once is three. You can only tame non-hostile creatures. Choose carefully!

Tamed creatures become pets, and will follow you around, attacking anything that attacks you. They can be healed with a healing sceptre, or by sitting near a campfire.

You can also ride your pets by mounting them with the **F** key. How fast they will travel depends of the type of creature, and you can also attack with your weapon & some of its skills while mounted.

<figure><img src="https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2FCvrm4i0sSUDbkxxHCPjB%2F7644b239e2a1c0cb4d253a8ee133d79.png?alt=media&amp;token=d94f68af-cb41-4c09-b072-d1fdd84efd35" alt=""><figcaption><p>Taming</p></figcaption></figure>

## :balloon:Airship and Balloon

For now, Airships and balloons aren't usable. It wanders from towns to towns but there is no way to control them nor to dock without gliding.

# Mining Guide

## Metacraft 2.0 Mining Guide

Spawning into the game, you're not too far out from delving in your first cave.&#x20;

There are dozens of caves scattered around the world. On top of that, the caves are full of ferocious creatures and valuable gems..

Next, I will tell you how to avoid danger and get treasure.

## :tools:Handy tool

First things first, we need to get your hands on the most important tool for mining, your pickaxe.&#x20;

For a starter a stone pickaxe will do just fine. For now roam around your starting town and collect some woods, stone, and kill some little critters that may inhabit the nearby forest for some leather.

You may craft your first tool! it isn't going to be pretty but mining is a dirty job.

## :luggage:Luggage Recommendations

Now that you have made your pick, we are one step closer to delving into the darken abyss to collect some minerals for the sake of progression.&#x20;

But let's check out our bags to ensure we have the necessary tools to make this as smooth as possible. Now these aren't a must but I would highly recommend you bring:

* Some healing potions
* Various amounts of food

It's also important to note that finding a campfire nearby wouldn't go amiss.

## :gem:Minerals + Gems To Expect

Let's start with the good news, the whole appeal of the cave systems, the minerals they bring.

Every cave is going to have the following ores:

Low level ores can be purchased from merchants or mined on surface with a Stone Pickaxe. Starting from Iron ore, ores can only be found in Caves. They are refined into Ingots in the Forge.

# How to install and use Metamask?

## What is MetaMask?

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=134s&v=YVgfHZMFFFQ>" %}

## Installing MetaMask on Chrome

Go to the [download page](https://metamask.io/download/), and hit the download button at the button. It will auto-detect the browser.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**MetaMask Browser Extension**</mark>

Let's demonstrate this with the chrome browser. Visit the download page and Click **Install MetaMask for Chrome** to visit the MetaMask extension page on the chrome web store.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-6367b02eff796fed7967094f098aa5b9176e07d5%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Install and pin that to make it available in your browser toolbar. This process is similar to installing any browser extension on chrome.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**MetaMask Wallet Registration**</mark>

Finally, you will be greeted with this. Now click **Get Started** to begin the registration process.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-095c315d606e52ad7630baf4c3f594daa964c3b6%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

The subsequent screen will give you the option to **Import Wallet,** or you can **Create a Wallet**. Click the latter option to register a new one.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9a2122cb0c7bccc7b135813d4971883a2c3bc5c3%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Next, you can choose to share some anonymous data with MetaMask to jump on to the following screen. You can click **No Thanks** for complete peace of mind–it won’t hamper your user experience with MetaMask. Select accordingly and proceed.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0a4938d5b95d67502596c0d270c365988ccd9d39%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Now Create a strong password on the following screen.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4c8d7e18beb8505e2a69c14266bc2902a2370b49%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Next, you’ll see the MetaMask team trying to emphasize the importance of the secret recovery phrase with a short video. Better watch it and click **Next**.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f9081820ac150f9902e6dc9511145e6043838de7%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Now it’s time to save the secret recovery phrase. You can uncover the secret phrase and download it as a text file.

It is strongly recommended to write the secret recovery phrase down on paper and keep it in a safe place. Don't show it to anyone！

Then click **Next** to proceed.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-aa020808833465a06b35667cf805b78a09810ff2%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-208ff8971c01a1d063073da5234620892060a5ac%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

MetaMask goes to lengths to ensure you remember this important phrase as they don’t store it for you. So you see a word puzzle to rebuild that phrase, exactly the way it was. Unless you get it right, the Confirm button at the end won’t get activated, and you can’t proceed.

And if you’ve missed remembering or saving it, there is a back button under the MetaMask icon at the top. That will take you to the previous page to download and memorize it.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5a8dd452ad688b7b376b419bb3ae399142c8245b%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Finally, click the **All Done** on the congratulations page to enter into your wallet dashboard.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-6a646eeab9a876d99d700a706bd27f108972ec17%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

## Using MetaMask

Now that you’ve MetaMask with you–let’s explore this a bit.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Public and Private Keys**</mark>

These terms get thrown around a lot. In brief, the public key is for receiving funds. But you’ll be needing your private key if you want to access those.

A private key is your proof that the funds in a wallet are actually yours. It’s also needed in every transaction you make.

In MetaMask, you can get your public key right from your user dashboard. Just hover over the account name, and a **Copy to clipboard** will appear. Now click to copy your public key.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4b83d99fb6e01760410f39fcdbdbee4b7b9549f6%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

A private key is, let’s say–an extremely private affair.

**Never share your private key with anyone. If you do, your account is there’s. A private key holder can transfer the account (and/or funds) from a wallet (say MetaMask) to any other wallet of their choice.**

To export your private key, click the three vertical dots to enter into your **Account Details**. Select **Export Private Key** on the next screen.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9470d02f7f1d299d860c0cc402dcf854027db12d%2Fimage.png?alt=media) ![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a8e32a45e343e9be1b16f9a06b6d3b3fd8d4a112%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

Enter your password and click **Confirm** to reveal your private key. I have censored my private key just to emphasize its secrecy.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-baed9995b90bb553ec842cfe46b714c1d5a0b534%2Fimage.png?alt=media) ![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-7b3d4dca437c6449d90ae7ebe52b0c43a63e95b3%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

It’s strongly recommended to keep your private key in a physical form rather than as a text file in your Google Drive or anywhere online. Keeping it online will only add to the security risks of an already vulnerable hot wallet.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Multiple Accounts**</mark>

You can add multiple accounts to your MetaMask wallet.

Notably, each account will have its own pair of public-private keys. But your secret recovery phase is the master key to all of your accounts. While a private key can be used to import an account, a secret recovery phrase (aka seed phrase) can be used to access all accounts at once.

To create an additional count, click your avatar in the MetaMask pop-up. Next, select the **+Create account**. Name it, and you’ll see that under your other accounts.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-704f654bea7f70ef9500049aad505cb6d55532ef%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Account Import**</mark>

This function will import an account and not the entire wallet. And since the wallet is not native to MetaMask, you’ll need to import it for every instance separately.

To import, click your avatar and then select **Import Account.** Enter the private key of the subject account, and click **Import**.

![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c99404c7380330338dcb7b1b7059ec5a06f3a899%2Fimage.png?alt=media) ![](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-6ccb069ec934fa9f8d56baa186dada5218fedd31%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Decentralized Applications (dApps)**</mark>

These apps are developed on the blockchain. MetaMask is a way to interact and use these apps.

For instance, if you want to play in [Metacraft](https://metacraft.cc/). After opening the launcher, you need to connect MetaMask and sign once.

# NFTs as Tickets

**In the world of Metacraft, NFTs can not only be viewed, but also used as tickets.**

## Meaning

We hope that the role of NFTs in metaverse is more than just viewing. For example, hosting shows, playgrounds, conferences in metaverse. In these scenarios, it is often necessary to verify the identity of visitors.

NFTs as Tickets allow creators/organizers to link NFTs with the economic ecosystem.

## How it works

As the owner of the venue, you will be able to set up some NFTs as entry tickets.

The ticket inspector NPC will ask the visitor to show him any NFT that allows entry. A cool feature is that the author of the venue can place a "sign-in wall". In this way, all NFTs of visitors will be displayed on the wall.

### Introduction Video

NFTs as Tickets now available
{% endembed %}

Want to host an event in metaverse? Get in touch with Metacraft! We are waiting for you!

### Use it now

1. First of all, based on land rights management, your land cannot be destroyed by others by default.
2. You can then wrap the premises with suitable materials so that no one else can enter the premises.
3. Next, set up an NPC that will verify who holds certain NFTs and teleport those who pass the verification into the venue.
4. Finally, don't forget to set up a "sign-in wall". It will be very convenient to show people entering the venue with their "avatar NFT" displayed on the wall which looks professional and cool.

# Creative Workshop Whitepaper

## **What is Creative Workshop?**

The **Creative Workshop** is Metacraft’s NFT distribution platform. It helps people issue and sell NFT assets under the Metacraft protocol, including **skins, avatars, emotes, lands, buildings, models, and parallel worlds**, with low barriers to use.

Both official and unofficial assets under the Metacraft protocol will be distributed through this platform. For artists and creators, it’s not only an easy-to-use tool to create NFTs, but also a platform for monetization. Long-term project supporters (Pass holders) and Intellectual Property owners can capture the value of creativity as well.

## Creator **Economics Model**

We divide the users of the Workshop into three groups:

1. Creators
2. Buyers
3. IP (Intellectual Property) Owners

![Metacraft Workshop Economics Model](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2FzTtOyTYbSMSoxelvrQrX%2FWorkshop%20\(3\).png?alt=media\&token=9df8a037-c27c-4139-b083-f59afdcc1d4b)

### **Creators and Buyers**

The creators are the ones who publish NFTs in the **Creative Workshop** and execute initial sales.

The buyers are the person who purchases these NFTs on the platform and collect them.

### **IP Owners and Creators**

Who are the IP (Intellectual Property) Owners?

In traditional literature and film, such as Spider-Man, Journey to the West, and Greek Deification, each character is an independent IP, and there are endless works that are adapted and created based on these IPs. Some stories that were not originally in one system were also combined and compiled into one story. For example, the Marvel Universe, and the God of War series. Derivative works other than these original works not only allow the IP to continue, but also allow the endless creativity to be made possible, and they are adored by fans.

Similar situation exists in the NFT industry as well, with giants like BAYC and classics like Cryptopunks. **However, currently these IPs are relatively isolated, lack of derivative work, lack of usage scenario, and lack of mechanisms that can guide the cooperation between IP owners and creators.**

In the Metacraft creative workshop, not only original works are encouraged, but also derivative creation of existing IP is encouraged. Creators can choose to create derivative works for a certain NFT, that is, inherit all the properties of this NFT.

Creators can sell the created NFTs in the Workshop's store, **and a portion of the sales proceeds will be distributed to the referenced NFT holders and every IP collection holders.** Referring to IP creativity is permissionless, IP holders can also receive benefits on the platform at any time.

For authors of derivative works, they will get creative inspiration from IP brands to create works with their own unique stories.

For IP brands, a wealth of derivative works promotes the prosperity of their ecology, and IP holders can also receive sales revenue from excellent works. On the other hand, a strong brand will also attract buyers.

## Value Capture for SeasonPass

Part of the royalties of the first sale of NFTs released in the workshop, and part of the royalties in the transaction will be distributed to SeasonPass holders.

In addition, the 11 creatures in the Metacraft Season Pass will be mapped as new properties, which are available for the creation of various types of NFTs. Each holder of the chosen creature will receive an additional sales/transaction income share.

Taking Skin NFT as an example, if you choose different creatures, the skin will show different special effects in the game. The creator can choose the appropriate creature with special effects according to the style of the skin. It not only adds a dimension to rarity design, but also has practical value in the game.

![Metacraft Workshop Value Capture for SeasonPass](https://metacraftcc.notion.site/image/https%3A%2F%2Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com%2Fsecure.notion-static.com%2F50baa2c7-c344-4fdc-b23a-339abd781e9d%2FUntitled_\(7\).png?table=block\&id=d889aa50-5fa9-4320-8ce5-0e69962b9847\&spaceId=2e909b85-937e-4f91-bb6d-503868c3bf55\&width=2000\&userId=\&cache=v2)

## **Royalty Distribution**

For each NFT that sells successfully, 88% of the revenue goes directly to the creator and 12% is distributed as royalties as follows:

1. 2% to the referenced NFT holder. (If it is original, this part will belong to the protocol treasury)
2. 2% to all NFT holders of the referenced IP collection. (If it is original, this part will belong to the protocol treasury)
3. 2% to SeasonPass NFT holders of the referenced creature
4. 2% to all holders of SeasonPass NFT
5. 4% to the Metacraft Protocol Treasury for the development and operation of Metacraft

After the first sale, the NFTs transaction royalties on the secondary market are 2.5%, distributed as follows:

The creator, all SeasonPass holders, and the Metacraft protocol vault are divided equally. That is, 1:1:1

## **Advantages**

### **1. Natural usage scenarios**

Assets published through the Creative Workshop (onchain NFT contracts) will comply with the **Metacraft protocol specifications**, so it can be used in the main world of Metacraft (through the listing review process), as well as in other parallel worlds of the Metacraft ecosystem in the future, and even in the native Minecraft game. **This makes the NFT you publish naturally have a usage scenario in the metaverse.**

For example, if you publish a skin NFT collection, through sales data review and governance voting, it will have the opportunity to be whitelisted for skins in the Metacraft main world. The holders can wear the skin NFTs with their Metacraft characters. In addition, players can also wear this skin in all parallel worlds under the Metacraft protocol.

### **2. Rich derivative works**

Metacraft's NFT protocol describes the most basic material, which can be easily transformed into different forms of presentation, resulting in derivatives of various forms. Metacraft will provide some derivative implementations, and we believe that developers will also build more creative derivatives.

For example, a skin is a personal picture, and an avatar is a subset of a personal picture. Creators release skin NFTs through the Creative Workshop, and users can directly obtain avatar derivatives. Creators can even choose avatar mode when publishing, allowing skin NFTs to appear as avatars in various market applications. We believe that in the future, creative teams will create more innovative conversion rules and release derivative NFT collections.

![Metacraft NFT derivative works](https://metacraftcc.notion.site/image/https%3A%2F%2Fs3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com%2Fsecure.notion-static.com%2Fc53f5999-0f47-43fc-9571-129d80457c0a%2FUntitled.png?table=block\&id=4c013ac0-ddd2-4fc7-b618-618451ac2a89\&spaceId=2e909b85-937e-4f91-bb6d-503868c3bf55\&width=770\&userId=\&cache=v2)

### **3. Continuation and Combination of Intellectual Property**

Since the birth of Cryptopunks, the permutation and combination of properties has brought infinite creativity to the NFT market and incubated many influential IPs. However, these IPs operate independently, mainly relying on the unilateral output of the project. There is a lack of a mechanism to combine them and incubate products with more usage scenarios and creativity.

Metacraft Creative Workshop provides a solution for the derivation of brand IPs. Creators can create propositions according to the properties provided by the IP owners, and the profit from these creations will extract a certain royalty to the IP owners. In this way, for those brand IPs that are used, they not only get the continuation through derivatives, but also gain royalties. And creators can also get creative inspiration and the attention from fans of these IPs.

![Meebits to Metacraft Skin Demo](https://2465076495-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FTQ3a2wjaqd8mRd9t6WxF%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ccec7d5957b977f9cc7d9bcccdc7682856948d23%2Fimage.png?alt=media)

## Summarize

NFT assets are the cornerstone of the Metaverse, and the largest usage scenario of NFTs will also be the Metaverse. At this stage, the NFT market category is unbalanced and lacks the necessary basic assets of the Metaverse. We hope the Workshop will help the Metacraft Asset Protocol expand rapidly and continue to create creative assets.

**We will continue to focus on innovation and experimentation to help the NFT market go from brand prosperity to full prosperity.**

# What is APE score?

The APE score is an award that recognizes every address for hard work over the past year.

# FAQ

## What's difference with DegenScore?

Yes, APE score is like DegenScore. But there is a slight difference, APE Score open-sources all the score calculation rules, and only counts the annual data.

And it will also give high-scoring addresses NFT rewards.

## Why didn't I claim but received Metacraft Season Pass NFT?

In terms of contract design, there is no restriction that you can only receive it yourself. So your friend may help you pay the gas fee to claim for you.
